Graduate courses |

Psychopathology, PSYCH 7403. This graduate course provides a critical examination of the clinical, experimental, cultural, and social construction of psychopathology. The etiology, development, course, and mechanisms underlying psychopathology are examined. The genetic, biological, epigenetic, and intersectionality of these factors are studied. This is core course in the doctoral program in clinical psychology.

Ethics and Professional Issues, PSYCH 7432. This graduate course examines the legal, ethical and professional standards of conduct. Areas discussed include clinical risk management, safety, mandated reporting, state and national licensing, and ethical and professional standards of academic teaching and research. Ethical standards and professional issues of practice are also discussed. This course is a core course in the doctoral program in clinical psychology.

Clinical Supervision team, PSYCH 7431. This graduate course focuses on the application and practice of clinical psychology. See Syllabus for more details. This course is a core course in the doctoral program in clinical psychology.

Undergraduate courses |

Health Psychology, PSYCH 3500. This undergraduate course is focused on the ways in which the mind, body, and behavior interact in health and disease. Class topics include theoretical foundations of health and illness, health promotion and primary prevention of illness, health enhancing and health damaging behaviors, psychosomatic illness, stress and coping, pain management, and a variety of specific behavior-related medical illnesses (e.g., heart disease, eating disorders, cancer, AIDS). This course is an elective in the psychology major (B.A. and B.S.) and minor degrees.

Directed Studies in Psychological Research, PSYCH 3390. This undergraduate course is a directed readings and research. This course requires consent of the professor and may be repeated.
